Sometimes we all need a break from our daily routines and do something different. For our annual Year End Function, the Credico team got out of the office for an unforgettable Paint Ball experience. This was a great way to distress from the ever-present work responsibilities and build an even stronger bond between our team members. Thrilling experience it was indeed, everyone was suited up and geared up to hit the battlefield.
We had 3 missions to accomplish, the first was “Shoot the enemy”. We were randomly divided into 2 teams (The Gunners and The Avengers) and basically, you shoot the other team until you run out of bullets. The team that has the last man standing wins – The Gunners won.
The second mission was to “Rescue Bob”. All teams were eager to save poor lifeless dummy “Bob” from the enemies – it was a great mission that needed strategy. This really helped in terms of team building, which is really easy as we do this on a daily basis in the office. The rescue mission was first successfully completed by The Gunners, then The Avengers and a sudden death round needed to be played – which was won by the deserving Avengers team (with Mosa as a pivotal player in the mission).
Third mission was a charm, we had a chance to shoot at our department managers in a “suicide run”. What a great chance to get back to your manager with no hard feelings as they ran across the field with everyone firing paintballs at them.
After all the action we were treated to a very tasty spit braai and had time to talk and laugh with everyone. We also had a fun Secret Santa, whereby everyone received a gift from their Secret Santa. The gifts were wonderfully thoughtful and everyone went all out to make the next person happy.
Credico believes in working hard and still spare some time to play – this was definitely a great day. It’s priceless to see the smiles on everyone’s face during the day, the joy and the laughter. We appreciate each other, and we work perfectly well together. Thank you Credico Family for a wonderful year.
