What have you done different this year to win the employee of the year award?

This year has been a wonderful challenging especially considering my recent promotion to Operations Manager.  I had to step up and meet expectations and new goals that were set.  I worked closer with my managers to learn more, putting in more effort and make sure I get things done better than ever before.  My team has always been there for me and they have allowed me to become the manager I am today, we make it a point to execute our plans and help each other where one lacks.  Better strategies and finding new ways to spread the work flow really played a vital role to not only streamline the business as a whole but to also operate more efficiently.  I am extremely blessed to be part of the greater Credico team.

What does this award mean to you?

It serves as a great motivation to me (and other) as it proves that all my hard work was fruitful and worth it.  People sometimes think that management doesn’t always see or recognize all the hard work, long hours and initiatives we put into the business ….. but believe me, they do!  I am really honored to be recognised amongst all the other hard-working individuals at Credico SA.  This will be a constant reminder that 2018 was indeed a wonderful year for me.

What advise would you give to your team and colleagues?

The key is to set the bar real high (aim to be “exceptional”) and be consistent.  Make sure you follow through on all aspects of your responsibilities so people know that they can count on you.  Be open to new ideas, always willing to learn from relevant people, be willing to take on more responsibilities to challenge yourself and push your limits.

What are your goals for the upcoming year?

I will be finishing my studies at Boston college this coming year and want to apply what I am learning and find better innovative ways to enhance the system.  I also plan to improve operational flow and strive to perfection in accuracy in all we do.  Then in my free time, go to the gym more often.
