The year seems to be quickly coming to an end. 2018 has been such a wonderful and prosperous year at Credico SA, with everyone putting in exceptional work to further build this wonderful business. To celebrate the achievements and recognize some individual performances the entire team from around the country got together and headed out to GOG Lifestyle Park located near Lanseria for an amazing day where the adrenaline junkies could express their sense of adventure or simply relax and unwind in the pools and parks. What a great way for management to say “thank you” to everyone for their hard work and dedication in 2018.
Upon arriving grabbed a quick breakfast snack and gear up for the “2018 Credico Survivor Challenge”. A final opportunity to compete and prove that the team spirit and comradery within the business is a force to be reckoned with. A day filled with fun team activities included:
- Complete the board – members of the team had to run across the water and memorize a puzzle, they then had to run back and put the puzzle together. What a great excuse to get drenched and quickly dry out under the beautiful summer sun.
- Target shooting – This challenge tested our aiming skills using an air gun. Just like the sales team we all hit our targets with this challenge.
- Go-Carting – In this need for speed challenge, members had to race each on a dirt track. A few side bets made this even more exciting.
- Water bucket challenge – This challenge really tests team work skills. Team had to carry a bucket full of water balanced on top of it from one end of the field to the other using a combination of long sticks and ropes.
- Stick and ball challenge – This tested teams analytical abilities along with bravery. Teams battled out to remove sticks from a maze while keeping as many of their balls in the maze in order to achieve victory.
- Transporter – Here teams had to find creative ways of transporting two balls from one side of the field to the other without dropping the balls.
- Endurance challenge – The day ended with a final energy sapping obstacle course challenge that drained even the most hardened of us from the energy reserves we had left. Team members had relay through grueling obstacles and tag team mates to complete the whole challenge together.
What an unbelievably fun day! “The Exceptionals” had the most points scored winning the Survivor challenge – despite a controversial bead liberation.
It was then time for everyone gather up for some lunch, cold drinks and to relax. In what has become a Credico SA tradition, themed “fun awards” are handed out at the end of each year and the theme for this year was Superhero’s. To celebrate everyone’s unique superpowers with a fun award to recognize and to thank everyone that has been working very hard this year this is becoming a highlight of the year end celebrations.
But wait – there’s more! What’s a Christmas party without Santa? Credico SA staff all got together and organized a secret Santa where everyone was given a random name of a person in the business to get a gift for. What a great reason to research colleagues to make sure you get them a gift they will love. We are such a thoughtful team!
This year was filled with 10 new employees joining the ever growing Credico Team, 11 Promotions and changes within the team there were a number of exceptional performers. However, from all the worthy candidates one individual stood out as always going an extra mile to make sure herself and the team are always a step ahead in the company, she has been recently promoted to Operations Manager due to her workaholic habit and the very deserving winner of the Credico Employee of the Year award – Colleen Pillay! This recognition was accompanied with a R20 000 home improvement voucher which Colleen will put into making her home even more special for her and her son Caden.
Credico SA management would like to give thanks not only to the amazing people that work there, but also to its clients for everything they have done in 2018 to make it the success it is. Even though we celebrate what was a spectacular year, we all know that 2019 holds with it more opportunities and the realization that a new bar of exceptional performance has been set.
